For now they just publish the AMD64 deb in an easy to access location, so it was easy to toss in a Debian ARM64 VM.

I understand they require Unifi Protect Controller to manage / view video feeds as well as Unifi Protect NVR to record the video feeds. I assume these are two separate components.

网页2023年2月1日 · Officially no, it’s their hardware only. I do think the UNVR is correctly priced and worth its cost. Unofficially, there is a project out there to run protect on your own hardware. I don’t think it’s the latest version, and IIRC it’s limited to arm devices (raspberry pi) since all of the protect appliances run arm chips.

Unifi app connects directly, but protect can't find the console, so strange. I tried removing and reinstalling protect, but am getting this issue. connected to the same vlan!

But there will be no alerts because it's a different subnet, instead of the configured subnets in the app. Not familiar with this, but I guess for the free version, Unifi only allows one controller to control device.
