We visited in a rainy day. Comfortable walk and easy elevation. Lovely color water. Great gift shop and snack bar. Most souvenirs are same price throughout the country. goswimtoday的完整评论

It is a beautiful place to visit. But it is on the Ring Road at least 4 hours from Reykjavik by car, so it is really an overnight trip. And it is not in the Golden Circle.

I would go on a guided coach tour where you will hear about things in the vicinity. Not sure how well English the cabdriver speaks, and it is expensive.

With good weather it’s about 30-45 min one way. honistly you may want to stop a few times as there are some views you may want to take in. In colder months the road over the mountain can be closed or restricted. Always be mindful of the weather in Iceland.
