A man accused of shooting two Jewish men in Los Angeles in February pleaded not guilty Thursday to four federal charges against him in the case, a US attorney’s office said.

A former Riverside resident who shot two Jewish men after they left synagogues in the Pico-Robertson district last year less than 24 hours apart was sentenced on Monday, Sept. 30, to 35 years in federal prison.

The gunman, who shot two Jewish people in Los Angeles as they were leaving religious services, was handed down a 35-year prison sentence, authorities said.
