网页2016年12月4日 · They used to have a 3 1/4 inch baseboard in a style that here in St Louis goes by the name of Hollywood, sometimes Ranch, other times clamshell. The number used to be 723 or 724. The floor guy suggested that the taller rooms get a taller baseboard. 3 1/4 inch is pretty standard here but I can get the taller stuff from a shop that will mill it.

FYI: A typical house costs us about $4,000 - $5,000 for the trim package, including interior doors (6 panel oak) and door hardware. It costs about $3,000 - $4,000 to stain, finish, and install it. We put casing around all of our windows - no drywall returns.

Then split the differences to scribe the least amount possible, scribe the entire room, and install the base. Mark.

网页2010年1月11日 · The issue my builder is telling me we will run into is the apron on my window trim will be meeting my baseboard. I plan to trim my other smaller windows with simple 1x's. We plan to have a tall baseboard, approx 7.5". So if you do the math, 80" height (top of the windows) minus 72" window size leave it 8" inches from the floor.
